Our Story
Situated in Belgrave in the picturesque Dandenong Ranges, Dragon Nest was opened in 2025 by mother-daughter duo, Rachael and April Vautier (Folded by Me).
A born maker and entrepreneur, April started asking for a lemonade type stall when she was nearly 7 years old. As she had been inundating the house with origami, Rachael suggested they make it an origami stall. They made a flier, told their neighbours, family and friends, dragged the dining room table up to the top of the driveway and had a beautiful morning of connection, creativity and sales!
Fast forward 8 years, after many, many market stalls, teaching workshops, exhibitions, selling in shops and building a website, Rachael and April opened their very first shop together - Dragon Nest.
We are now proud to host 60 local artisans - all Australian and most from the Dandenong Ranges and surrounds.
